The online reviews for This Is My Body by Ragan Butterfield really piqued my interest, seems I had a lot in common with the author and so I hoped to really enjoy the book. Unfortunately I found it torturous to read as he has a rather bland life story. I hoped it would be more of a tutorial I guess than just a random story of a man's life. I struggled to finish this copy.

Clean Slate Book review

I saw this cook book from the editor of Martha Stewart Living promoted and given away on a daytime network TV show, so I was excited to receive a copy for myself. The pictures are just lovely and the recipes are simple and well laid out with clear and precise directions. The only drawback to the book is that it requires some special ingredient and the recipes are a bit more fancy than my tastes. When I get home at the end of the day I want something I can throw together quickly and easily. But if you have time to prepare an exotic recipe with a couple of exotic ingredients then this cookbook is fabulous. Pages: 336 | ISBN: 978-0-307-95459-6 I received this book from Blogging for books in exchange for my honest review.

Strong is the new skinny book review

We've all heard that skinny is out and strong is in. I was excited to receive this book. I enjoy diet and exercise books. I found this book a bit dry. I thought it would be inspiring, but it really wasn't. It didn't stand out from the crowd. I received this book free from bloggingforbooks.com and my opinions are my own.
